Insurance Claims
Support & Direct Billing

ALL INSURANCE ACCEPTED · XACTIMATE · DIRECT CARRIER BILLING

A restoration claim is a paperwork problem on top of a water problem. Johnston Environmental Inc. handles the paperwork — Xactimate documentation, direct adjuster communication, and billing straight to your carrier — so you can focus on your home.

Files That Adjusters Approve

Two decades of Charlotte losses means our files are the kind adjusters approve quickly. Here's what that looks like on your claim.

Xactimate Documentation Adjusters Trust

We estimate every loss in Xactimate, the same software your carrier uses. Line-item scopes, moisture logs, and photos mean fewer questions and faster approvals.

Direct Adjuster Communication

We talk to your adjuster directly, so there's no phone tag for you. The scope, cause, and readings go straight to the person deciding your claim.

Direct Billing to Your Carrier

When coverage applies, we bill your insurance company directly at no extra charge. You're responsible for your deductible — we handle the rest of the paperwork.

Supplements, Denials & Appeals

If the initial settlement falls short, we build the supplemental claim. If a claim is denied, we help review it and support the appeal — and can recommend a public adjuster when it's warranted.

Your Claim, Step by Step

01

We Document the Loss

Before anything moves, we photograph, measure, and log the damage with moisture meters and thermal imaging. That record is the backbone of your claim.

02

You File, We Support

You open the claim with your carrier; we hand you the cause documentation and scope to file with. Prompt reporting keeps the claim moving.

03

We Meet Your Adjuster

We walk the loss with your adjuster, share our Xactimate scope, and align on what's covered — on-site, not over voicemail.

04

We Restore, Then Bill Direct

Work proceeds under one contract, and billing goes straight to your carrier when coverage applies. You focus on your family, not the file.

Insurance Questions, Answered

Will my homeowners insurance cover the damage?

Most sudden, accidental losses — burst pipes, appliance failures, storm intrusion — are covered. Gradual leaks, deferred maintenance, and rising flood water often are not. We document the cause precisely so your claim lands in the right lane.

Do I have to pay for the work upfront?

No. When coverage applies, we bill your insurance carrier directly at no extra charge. Your out-of-pocket cost is typically just your deductible.

What if my insurance claim is denied?

We help review the denial and assist with the appeal — we've helped many Charlotte homeowners overturn initial denials. If needed, we can recommend experienced public adjusters who work on your behalf.

Do I have to use the contractor my insurer recommends?

Generally no. In North Carolina you can typically choose your own restoration contractor; preferred-vendor lists are suggestions, not requirements. You pick who works on your home.

What is a supplemental claim?

When hidden damage surfaces or the first settlement doesn't cover the full scope, a supplement documents the additional work for your carrier. We build and submit it with the same Xactimate detail as the original.

Damage now, paperwork handled. We start the mitigation and the claim file at once.
